Performance Rank
Performance Rank ignores price and orders the 48 clubs by normalized equipment performance.
Value Rank
Value Rank starts with nonlinear performance retention, then incorporates representative market price, ownership condition and confidence. Performance carries the majority of the weight.
How to use both
If two clubs perform similarly but one costs much less, the cheaper club should usually rank higher for value. If the cheaper club gives up too much performance, the discount should not automatically push it to the top.
Why public scores are rounded
Market prices move and comparative testing has uncertainty. GVL keeps more precision internally for ordering but displays rounded scores so small differences are not presented as certainty.
